George W. Dill, beloved husband and father, was born in Paris, Edgar County, Illinois Sept 19, 1856 and departed this life August 14, 1897. He united with the M.E. Church at an early age and always lived a devoted Christian life. He was married to Elizabeth Herd Aug 16, 1876 at Indianapolis. To them were born five children all of whom survive him. I will say as the poet says: Dearest husband, gone and left us, here his loss we deeply feel; but 'tis God that both bereft us He can all our sorrows heal; yet again we hope to meet thee when the day of life has fled; yet in Heaven we hope to greet thee where so farewell tears are shed. -- kbz
